Spring Break getaway

Spring Break. This year, Barry and I took the plunge and went away without the kids. Actually, we left them home, on their own! Yikes! Since Brendan now has his "N", we decided to go to Seattle for 4 days, and leave them at home with a vehicle. I was quite nervous at first, but they did very well. Brendan was a taxi driver for Gabi, and the house and the dogs were well taken care of!

We stayed at this really nice hotel in north Seattle....

The rooms were huge!

We did a lot of sleeping in and shopping, of course.
One day we spent downtown. I had never been to this market before....

It was an interesting experience!

It was cold, but the rain stayed away, for the most part, and the sun even tried to come out.

Ever since we heard about this restaurant, Barry and I have wanted to try it. We are HUGE seafood fans, so were really looking forward to it.

This is all we were given to eat with.... a bib and a mallet!

We were not disappointed! I was absolutely stuffed, and have to say it was the best meal I have ever had! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

And now, back to the reality of life..... :(

  • We have stayed at the E. Suites in Tukwila/Sounth Center a few times and love it. Awesome free wine in the evening and breakfast in the morning!

That restaurant looks amazing! I wish Dave was a seafood lover...not sure I will get there in my lifetime!

Looks like you guys had a well-deserved awesome get-away!
